CDBG Fundamentals Certification

CDBG Fundamentals Certification is a three-day course that provides an overview of the Community Development Block Grant Program, including key requirements for each eligible activity type with the Certification Exam on the last training day.

To help participants make sense of it all, the course provides a framework for rules on National Objective basis and ensures that they understand the roles and responsibilities applicable to the CDBG entitlement grantee, its subrecipients, partners, and low-income beneficiaries. 

About the Certification Exam: The exam covers critical information taught in CDBG Fundamentals including national objectives, eligible activities, cross cutting requirements and CDBG grants management requirements. Participants should anticipate spending up to two hours completing the online exam.

Participant Requirement: Please bring your laptop to the training in order to sit for the online exam.

Training Dates and Times: The training is being held on April 23-25, 2024. Day 1 Registration will be from 8:30 AM-9:00 AM and training be held 9:00am-4:30pm. Training - Day 2 8:30am-4:30pm and Day 3 8:30am-4:00pm. Please refer to the agenda.

Meals: No meals will be provided during this training; each participant is responsible for their own meals.
