Fundamentals of Financial Management
Fundamentals of Financial Management is a two-day course that covers the basics of sound financial management practices with a focus on implementing 2 CFR Part 200: Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. We address the specific challenges HUD Community Planning and Development (CPD) grantees face, such as following grant-based accounting, tracking program income, and utilizing HUD's Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS) as a grants management tool. This course focuses on real world issues and, to better help participants apply the principles, includes time to review your program-specific challenges.
