Homeless & Disabled

TDA brings a combination of program knowledge and practical experience focusing on special needs issues (including homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, veterans, domestic violence, and rural housing). TDA, as a national and local technical assistance provider for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), has extensive experience supporting the local implementation of HUD-funded McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance programs, Continuum of Care (CoC) efforts, and the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program. Our staff has served as the CoC lead agency and on local CoC boards giving us a keen appreciation for how these programs work in the field.

TDA brings end user and system administrator experience with the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)) and knowledge of e-snaps for the collection and reporting of data. TDA has proven its capacity over the years for getting the job done, whether convening groups of community stakeholders to identify goals and action steps or providing guidance to address program compliance concerns.

We provide community solutions by:

  • Assessing needs and identifying gaps in resources

  • Developing training and other program resource materials

  • Using data to inform planning and action

  • Delivering cost-effective training programs in interactive environments that encourage learning and produce results

  • Providing direct technical assistance that identifies the underlying causes of issues and offers guidance to build capacity and increase knowledge
